hehehe. So we ended up side by side. Well, at least I know i'm with good company! :-)
With this being your first challenge just don't let the votes get to you. They mean nothing.
this is a nice shot, some things you can learn from and others you can simply enjoy.
I like your creativity and open mind.

Thanks for your in depth comments. This was my first challenge so I wasn't too sure what to expect. You were right though, I believe we finished next to each other way down the list.

I am assuming these are synchronized to music. Captured as bars of a graphic equalizer would be nice, wouldn't it?
I may even be missing the whole point. :) |

| While I think this is an absolutely beautiful picture (and I especially love the way the water droplets were captured in mid air), I'm not sure it's what they were looking for with the "live music" theme. |

Under any other normal conditions, I would probably vote a 6 on this image, and go on voting.
It's a really nice photo, just not the "wow" kind.

| beautiful image, absolutely. lovely composition, and i don't mind the blowouts that much. however, i can't imagine this scoring well, given how out-of-the-box it is. if you aren't happy with your score you might want to check out this thread. |

| you're gonna get punished for this, but not by me. i like the silhouette useage, and the slightly monochromatic toning. quite moody, I'd say. 7 |
