totally underseved 5.58
i shot this at 11:48:39 (if memory serves me) (its in the EXIF) and didnt get it loaded to my pc until 11:56 which gave me just enough time to crop out my desk that i had no choice to put in the frame due to my artroom being full of crap and it being so last minute, and run it through levels. Its an absolutel miracle it even got submitted because my clock said 12:00 before i hit the submit button but it made it.
I hate that the base board it broken, that i didnt notice the stupid screwed up polaroid under the chair when i kicked everything out of the way to set down the chair, and the grain. I do think my toepoint is pretty hot though :p |

Flashdance, baby!! Where's the water??? hee hee
I like the overall feel of the shot. Maybe a different color top? Wait, Jennifer Bealls wore pink didn't she? I like this. Original recreation of a cult classic film. |

6 - Met the Challenge, re a photo of this put into a time capsule depicts this era quite well for future generations, in my opinion. Criticism; to 'nitpick', just attention to detail, such as the white paper on the floor far right, and the style of chair (but I may be wrong there) doesn't have a real 80's feel in my opinion. Actually I would like to have seen this also (as I do like the pose you've gone for) in the 'maniac' dance (upright) position. The clothes are pretty spot on and the lighting top left is good but if this was a little further out (and taking advantage of the shadow play) and perhaps even a little 'softened', would have made this a better, and more dramatic shot, in my opinion. Maybe even a little 'ghetto blaster' whacked in there somewhere too. I think a plainer flooring might also not detract as this patterned one does, but that is just my opinion. “What a feeling, bein's believin'.... ”..................." Ah who could forget flashdance!?!?! Good idea, paper on the floor is a little distracting and the wall seems to be overexposed a bit, plus you should have that bucket of water ready to drench the model!
(Sorry had to throw the water comment in there!)
I do like the pose and the clothing is straight from the 80's! Good luck!

I'm shocked there were not more 80's submissions in this challenge. nice work here, however there are 2 things that stick out here:
1) the baseboard is missing on a good portion of the floor
2) There is some piece of paper near the botton right that is out of place. |

Shoulda gone all the way through and have the water splash too ;-)
nice idea. I would lower the red saturation a bit, but other then that it's a good piece for the challenge. |

| Nicely set up. I keep waiting for the water to drop. I like that the photo immediately spoke to the era and the movie without more than the year for the title. I did get a little distracted by the piece of paper on the ground under the chair. |
