Electrolux vacuum circa 1952 (estimated), but it looks like robots, and the cold war, and Martian invaders all rolled into one. :-)

Shot at the very last moment in my office with two small flashlights (one inside for the "headlight", and one on a stand for illumination).

What is it?

This looks like 1952 even though I don't know what in the hell it is. An electrolux vacuum? A Klieg light? Nonetheless, it evokes the time because of the art deco sense that segwayed into modernism during that time period. I love the metalic sense and that flare of light makes the shot.

Old film projector? I kind of like the abstract look of this picture and the lighting. Good use of B&W 7

Now that's a projector!
Prudent use of the star filter.
Lovely rendering of light on the textured surfaces.
The only drawback for this challenge is that one really has to know what they're looking at--wouldn't expect someone opening a time capsule to get it.

Nice picture, but what is it? :) I like the grain, but would like a bit more black.
