I totally don't get what's going on in this shot, but I'll trust you and assume that it's the sort of thing that went on in 1783.

1783. Hmm, wrong clothing, the BG looks wrong.
photographicaslly - the BG is too bright - it draws my eye from the focal point you want - the person in the foreground. fill flash is needed to balance this and get my eye to go where it needs to go. DOF is good

I don't really get why this is 1783 but the image itself is very captivating. the highlights on the red thing in the center is distracting but other than that you have quite a photo. 7

this does not capture the year 1783. the kid has a modern T-shirt. otherwise, not a bad shot...

i dont get this photo. those boys look like they are painting/plastering a wall. the background looks like a circus or carnival of sorts. cant really see the relation with 1783 or with time. in regard to photo interest, doesnt really hold up much and the faces on the boys could have been brighter with more light. thanks
