if only the traffic signs weren't there....

wow street sign and crossing light really destroy the time capsule part of the challenge..it is funny though when you think about it in the photo.

If only the crossing signal wasn't there. Otherwise, really good!
08/15/2005 12:03:31 PM
too bad the sign wasn't pointing the other way so they'd be going back (in time).
08/15/2005 11:35:31 AM
-2 for the one way sign. could be a bit sharper too IMHO

lol. love the humor. Cool b/w 7

This is so terrific except for the one way sign (and could stand to be a bit grainy to add an authentic feel)! Otherwise a terrific shot! Captures the era beautifully.

If that darned "One Way" sign weren't in the photo I would have scored this higher as the background seems to fit with the horses and riders.

The one way sign looks out of place, perhaps a tighter crop

I hate the light pole one way sign here. It really detracts from the shot.
08/13/2005 11:39:40 AM
Did they have one way signs in 1854? And what about those signals on the post?
08/13/2005 08:55:34 AM
I like the B&W -- the lettering style on the "sale" sign in the window even seems to fit the era. But something seems out of place.............

Nice to see they obeyed the traffic signs in 1854 :-P
08/12/2005 03:04:08 PM
the one way sign should have been cropped out.....
08/10/2005 09:43:53 PM
Well they are going in the right way at least :-D
08/10/2005 06:27:41 PM
That One Way sign is pretty distracting.
08/10/2005 05:37:05 PM
The One Way sign along with the cross walk signal really detract from this otherwise okay photo.
08/10/2005 03:11:29 PM
The traffic signs really got in the way here! Too bad, and not including the legs of the horses is a bit of an eyesore...
08/10/2005 01:08:42 PM
Except for the sign! Nice tone.
08/10/2005 12:35:55 PM
The walk and to not wak light post takes away.
08/10/2005 01:49:09 AM
Nice use of B&W. the crosswalk lights and the "one way" sign kind of ruins the time period mood, though.
08/10/2005 01:16:35 AM
Cool shot
