I don't understand the dark comments at all. Doesn't look dark on my monitor. I think it is a very nice port. and wish there were NO background at all, cept maybe white. lovely shot of two beautiful girls

Backlighting is nice, but some fill flash would have helped so the faces aren't shadowed as much. I would have had her put the towel down. Some movement in a different direction could have taken the majority of the concrete out of the background on the left side and a shallower dof would have helped to blur it a little more. Opening the eyes a bit more is helpful in this style of portrait shot.

The lighting is even darken in this one, but both girls are looking in the same direction which is good. See the hot spots on the heads and shoulder? When shooting outside, try different times of day or areas of the yard to avoid the hot spots and I think you will have a great picture.

I did use a fill flash, and the sun was making them squint. I had to desaturate the reds a little bit, because they looked extra pink. That may account for the darkness. Thanks for the comment! :)
