 Black River Colony of Coastal Great Blue Herons. Used celestron c-5 mated to my F717 to get this shot. 200 to 250 feet away.

Wow, that is an amazing picture, I wish I could have been with you when you took it, its amazing it didnt take off!

Great shot Swash...like how clear and detailed the heron is and the dof of folliage. Have you ever sent photos to Birder Magazine? That with a write up of your herons might be something they would publish. I don't have an address but am sure it can be found on the web.
