I didn't have much luck coming up with an idea for this challenge that I thought would be unique. Some of my first ideas included crayons, paint, paint brushes, colored markers, colored liquids in various glass containers... I expect those to be done and done very well. I like to try to stay a little unique. I stopped by a local wine shop and ran into an old friend from high school and she gladly donated a few wine bottle corks for this project...

The lighting is very effective. Everything is fully in focus, very good. You should get this one ready for DPCprints.

Composed nicely. Unique set-up for the challenge. Lighting and clarity are perfect. I like the reflection of red on the corkscrew. It adds a nice touch. Only drawback in my opinion...the border is just a little too wide for my liking. It could do without most of the inside black portion. 9 - Good luck in the challenge!

Nice shot. I really like the lighting on the background. Great focus. I think I would have preferred the red cork all in the shot and a little more light on the blue cork. Nice framing too. On closer examination, are those wine drops on the white? I know we can't clone :(

Nice composition, and very creative.

The clarity and lighting in this shot are fabulous. It's crisp yet soft and intimate feeling. I would like to see a little space between the red cork and the border, but can see that you wanted it touching so as to balance the corkscrew being off the frame. Good gradients and saturation throughout. Very well done! 9 -danny

I really like this. Did you colour the corks yourself? Lighting is excellent.

Nicely done. Good lighting and composition... (border is iffy). Critique: I might have considered having the corkscrew in the background, considering the focal point (primary colors) of the challenge.

I don't drink wine, but your composition here is wonderful. Lighting and focus are marvelous, too. Great work!

nice composition, just would of brought the dark cork forward ...that's just me- too tight of a crop on the left but that's minor.... IT'S a good entry all around.

Nice context, not just another random colors shot.

Very nice. I wish the red cork didn't touch the frame, and wish the screw was either all the way in at the bottom or more out. I like the lighting.
