Katie wanted a swimsuit shot for her portfolio, but I couldn't bring myself to photograph her on a car hood or bent over a motorcycle. I like this shot because it captures her strength and intensity.
The color of her swimsuit and the background were distracting, so I went monochrome. I have a B&W version with a broader range of tones, but the selenium toning darkened the background further and highlighted her eyes.
Great DoF. Doesn't look like you processed the skin at all; now I'm wondering if you did anything to it. The cooler hues seem to lend themselves well to the fabric but I'm not sure that I like it with her skin. Great definition in her hair and eyes. I like the crop as the portrait orientation confuddles the angle of her gaze.
