This is my first submission to this site's contests. I took it in my garden, using the tools that I use for yardwork. I've only recently become interested in photography, so I'm entering contests and posting my work to get critiques and suggestions. :)The only editing I did was to sharpen it a little.

Hmm. Not bad for a first entry. Make sure you study recent and current challenges. You will start to develop an eye for composition, which will help you frame your shots.

On this one, perhaps the perspective of an ant on these tools might have upped the intrigue. or maybe some interesting lighting at dusk. You will learn to flex your imagination to create something unique, but it will take practice. Keep shooting!

I would have been more pleased with this image had that ground not been man-changed.... with the square patch and everything

A closer view of the tools would have been better for the composition of the photos, there is too much green that distracts from the main subject/

Not too crazy about this picture. Is that dirty snow? Appears over-sharpened. I think it would help this photo if you were to move the tools to a nicer background with enough light and get closer to your subject bringing out better detail in the metal/rust and wooden handles.

Good idea, maybe a tighter crop would have worked better
