This tiny doll in the center is less than an inch tall. She is the smallest of a set of nine nested dolls. Each of these is hand carved and painted in Russia and the Ukraine.

I was lucky enough to have a friend bring them back to me. :)

Light is way too bright! Composition does little to appeal to the eye. You chopped off one eye and a head... oh my!

If the title is "smallest," then I'm looking for the smallest to be the focal point, but it seems she;s slightly blurred.

This is a nice idea. However, it is a little out of foucs (intended?) and is a bit hot.

Matryoshka! I can't believe I didn't think of photographing mine for the challenge! They are so much fun to photograph aren't they? It's nice to see something a little different in the challenge...love the bright colors.

I think this is a little out of focus, and it seems slightly overexposed (especially "hot spots" like on the dolls' foreheads.
