I think I would have preferred this on a plain coloured background.

A different background without pattern would've been preferred. I think the glass piece is pretty well portrayed, but I'm really not wild about the choice of background.

Certainly interesting angles and refractions. I'm totally confused looking at this block of glass (that's a god thing). Good luck. Jacko 8

The shadow really adds to the composition, here!

And a new dimension needed to be found, an 'out of the box' solution, so to speak. The shadow 'makes' the piece, for me. unique, an elegant reminder of one part of greatest event in world history.

Wow!!! I'm not sure if it was intentional but the choice of wood was a good one cnosidering the wood cross. The cross in the shadow makes this image complete. - 10

I really like the shadows, but not such a big fan of the flares...I have no idea how you could get one without the other, but I find all the diverging lines a bit distracting.

Nice idea... I would suggest a different perspective... different ange that is, and the crop is too narrow, I would have kept the en of the shadow...

Wow. That's a lovely piece of glass, even before you took a photo of it. :->

I like the shadows, but the reflected shafts of light are a distraction. It would help if the surface the subject is resting on were plainer, too.

I think maybe some people might find this title a bit offensive. I see your point, this is very creative. I wish we could see the top corner of the shadow.
