 A macro shoot of a strawberry. More of a test shoot with my new Sigma 105mm DG Macro.

I used a SB800 to iluminate the subject. Shoot in manual mode at ISO 200 f16 1/100.

maybe just a little oversharpened, but I like the texture... and it's mouthwatering.

this is a good photo. But it would be great with out the harsh lighting and a more colorful background.

The lighting is way too harsh for my taste - using flash well is very difficult, especially up close. Personally I would have preferred a white background as well.

Very Crisp and nice composition - I would of liked it more if the background was darker and softer highlights on the strawberry...

You showed texture pretty well, but for some reason this just doesn't look appetizing at all. I guess this close in it just makes it look a little dirty or something, I'm not sure. Good macro, though; your focus is good.

Excellent macro. Nice natural color and the contrast of the red and green is really good. The light creates a few bright spots, but overall, really nice.
