 Got this at the zoo when one of the zoo keeper pass near me with his hawk, preparnig for a show. We were under trees, so it was kind of dark and I had to use iso 1600 to get a decent shutter speed.

Of course, picture was noisy. I had to do multiple gentle noise reduction and sharpening pass to acheive what I wanted.
Besides noise reduction and sharpening, I did some level adjustment and boosted the yellow saturation to make the yellow spot on his beak stand out a bit more.

I didn't thought I'd had a top ten finish with so many amazing shot in this challenge. Needless to say, I m quite happy.

ALMOST a perfect 10 - but you focused on the beak and not the eyes! major error!! :( still - 9 here ;)

Really a nice crisp close up. His feathers, eye and beak are in great detail. I like this alot being a 3/4 profile shot. Very nice lighting too. 8
