 I like this type of image. Whether it will do well here, though, I can never guess. I do know that it looks far better in print than here (72 DPI, argh!!).

This is a closeup of a door handle on one of the doors inside the castle at Old Fort Niagara. There were quite a number of texture "candidates" here. I hope you like my choice...

The wood/metal combination works so well to set one another off. You certainly made me feel this door! One of my top 10 favorites of this week.

Nice. Like the direction of the light. The texture of the cut wood and metal gives an oldfashioned feel.

This would be a great shot for black and white. You might want to up the contrast just a touch on this one to make for a more interesting photo. Good composition though and I like the dark to the right of the picture. I hope this is helpful.

while i do not find the subject that interesting, it was nicely executed. The texture shows throughout the wood and metal parts of this door.
