Fantastic macro shot you have here (and others in your portfolio). I am very impressed, to say the least! I like the way it's antennae reach across the frame, leading your eye. Like greatandsmall said, the green bg adds to the theme, too. :)

Pretty cool shot. The green background adds to the "alien" theme. Really like the composition. I'm not an expert at processing, but I think I see compression artifacts?
That's not a preying mantis, though. It's most likely a wheelbug nymph. They are one of my favorite bugs, but watch-out, they have a mean bite!
