 I went to my first rodeo in Spooner, Wisconsin last weekend. It was quite the cultural experience. None of my photos were very exceptional - they all lack adequate depth of field and most lack focus. But I ought to submit once or twice a year, right?

Nice capture, but the background is very distracting. Would've been better if cropped tighter and maybe a little more blur in the background.

i scored this an 8, and would have expected it to score much higher. maybe if you had rotated to straighten it up on a bit, and cropped in a little tighter. all the same, i thought you nailed the challenge.

You've really captured the moment here, it's pity it's too blurred really. I would have liked it cropped closer around the horse & rider myself.

Nice shot but, I think a tighter crop around the cowboy and the horse would make it much more effective. There is too much busy stuff in the shot that distracts from you main focus.

Nice action, comp, light and dof. Perhaps cropping out the greater portion of the crowd might create another impact.

Had the face been shown in this photo it would have been very good. But as it is, it's only a so so image.
