The colors of the flowers is nice, but I just don't care for the background / composition of this one. Maybe a different perspective or crop and a shallow depth of field would help. |

I agree with Jaxter, "croping" the plant fighting over the flower should improve the pic, making it look absolutely different. A shallower DOF could have helped sepate the flower from the background, specially the green long leaves behind. put the flower a little to the left too, so it isn't dead centered.
Edit: didn't even notice the dust!

Very nice photo! I think some may comment that the wash from the sun on the sand is too bright, but I dissagree. If you had made it darker you would have lost detail in the flower. Two things I would have done different myself. First I would have stomped that wheat-like plant flat so it is out of the photo. It draws attention away from the flower in the center. The second thing I'd have done is to have gotten closer. Filling the frame would also have helped draw focus where it was wanted. Overall this really is a lovely shot. |

i like how the blue seems to jump at you, but the background is a big bore. |
