Detail from graffiti found in a Haight Street doorway in San Francisco. Cropped image a bit, adjusted the brightness a bit. While circles abound in this photo, I wanted to focus on that central eye...how it just sucks you into each circle as if it were some sort of tripped out vortex. Seems appropriate for Haight Street!

This pic I see is intended as social comment, though some what isolated from environmental context, not entirely. I think it is acceptable as much as a sculpture would be acceptable..... I think the dq ruling as literal representation might apply only if intention to deceive a viewer is absolutely pronounced and demonstrated. Not so on this foto. The beauty of graffiti is the tenacity - that it keeps getting reborn even after being erased, covered, painted over and DQ'd.....

I see the circles, but I don't think they are the real focal point of the object.

It may be graffiti, I think this is too close to a simple, literal representation of a work of art.
