 This is a macro shot of coffee stirrers. I tied them together with some string and put them on a TV tray in my living room with a piece of white posterboard underneath them.

I used my Canon Digital Rebel with an 18-55mm lens, and a Kenko Close-up No. 4 macro filter. PS Elements work: Auto Contrast, Auto Levels, Unsharp Mask.

I'm really pleased with how this turned out. I really have no idea what everyone else will think, but I felt like it was a unique shot for such a broad challenge.

Strong, dynamic composition. This is the kind of shot where an even narrower DOF would be very impactful - reducing the furthest elements to severely defocused lenticular patterns.

Fun pic. Great colour. Would have liked to see a bit more sharpness on some of the straws at the very least. I can't quite seem to find the focal point.

very nice shot ... I don't see any circles there but, I do see lots of elipsoids nice shot though

pretty and good idea, though I think that I have seen similar done better: slightly soft and are to right is too far outside DoF.

This is a really neat, very graphic image. Don't think I could have done any better. Like how the ones on the outside are out of focus. It would pop better if the ones in focus were really sharp, and maybe if there was a little more contrast? Little linty things take away a little, but I do like it.

On first pass I kind of said...ok. ON second pass I appreciated it much more (after looking at the rest of the entries especially). Nice colors and lighting. I really like the flow from dark interior in the lower left to the spacing to the left and how it flows to the empty space. Nice job!
