Two loose ring snaffle bits attached to bridles...I hung them on the wall of an old shed during late afternoon, then began shooting from different positions. This shot was my favorite. The photo was cropped, levels appeared ok so I didn't use levels; then I used unsharp mask and curves for final small adjustments...I suppose people will comment that there are blown out areas on the bit, but that's the way the light hit it so that was fine with me; I liked the subtle tone on tone effect in this picture.

I don't know what a snaffle is, but you make them look beautiful. Very nice focus and clarity. I think the lighting is perfect, what perfect conditions for taking this photo. The background is neat as well. If I HAD to suggest something, it would be that I wish the 'knot' in the wood wasn't there or was the same as the rest of the wood. It's not a big deal at all and I love this shot either way. Who knows, without it, it might not look right, but it's the only thing I can really suggest. ~Heather~

only just see the circles. Not as obvious as it might be. would like to see richer colours in wood (eg winner of leading lines treatment).
