Man did you pick a hard subject!! What I have noticed when I take a picture with very little light is that I get a lot of noise. I see that this is what happened to you too. The image is also out of focus. Not every picture has to be sharp and perfect, but for a macro challenge it should be. I am glad that you chose to go "out of the box". This is not a typical macro entry and that is refreshing. I think that you should practise more with low lighting. I really don't know a lot about your camera to give you tips for that--I am sorry.

low quality image that doesn't speak technically either.

Just a bit more focus and some JPEG clean-up and you'd have yourself a better picture. The prism effect on the background is nice.

Creative choice of subject! Composition is ok. Lighting is perhaps a bit of an issue, as we're getting a glare at the top left. Detail on the photo could be just a little more crisp.

This would be really well done if the colors were vibrant and it was in focus. The prism effect off the left is a nice touch, but overall... sharpness would be the key.
