As you see, Gerrit, the word "transportation", in English, stands for far more things than you think, but this can be understandable since your mother tongue isn't English.

Hence I believe that it would have suited this theme pictures like: a person carrying a load (the act of transporting); someone who is daydreaming (is "transported"); the river transporting the ducks and of course means of transportation but this is so obvious.

I'm aware that English is not my mother tongue, and so to be on the safe side I looked the word up at www.dictionary.com. My comment is based on the definitions I found there. "Transportation" as in "rapture" is really stretching things, it's farfetched. (Besides, I don't see any signs of rapture in the pic.) I don't see any means of transportation either, unless the mother duck were to carry the little ones on her back. I don't recognize any of the 6 definitions you quote in this photograph, and quite a few native speakers of English seem to agree with that view.

Sweet, tight, crisply focussed, well-cropped, and a good take on the theme. Also unbearably cute. :->

Excellent capture. I really love the way the 3 ducklings are perfectly lined up. This is really a very sweet picture, although I'm not totally sold on this pic for this challenge, but what the heck? I'll give you an 8 anyway -Bob

I love this photograph. Maybe I'm just partial to animals but I think it's one of the best I've seen so far in the Transportation Challenge. I'll give you an 8.

This is so sweet. I love the 3 little chicks all facing the same direction... looking at mom who is looking back at them.

What color is it when baby ducks jump in the water? Indigo. (Pronounce the word slowly, IN. pause etc) Nice posing of the ducklings. Good exposure, sharp focus.

This is a beautiful photo, however I am scoring this one low because i do not feel it meets the genre of the competiton.

Kind of stretching the "transportation" concept, I think.

Would have been top 10 in the fauna challenge for sure. Hope your not marked down because it`s not mechanical transportation. 9

swimming lessons? very nice shot - is this a fauna outtake? i love how the baby ducks are all looking the same direction. nice focus and detail. i think if you had darkened the photo and raised the contrast a bit the photo would have looked a bit more dramatic.

My wife likes this picture - the little duckies all facing the same way saying "Mommie, what do we do now?". Very cute... I like the focus and the vivid colors.

Perhaps stretching the theme a little - but those little guys sure are cute!

Lovely picture, you must have had to wait a while for them all to line up like that. Just feel it is slightly too abstract for transportation.

this is fabulous photo, i'm feeling bad because i have to mark it down due it's weakness in relation to the challenge, but it's still such a great pic I'll give you a 7
