 My old neighbour Fons used to sow his peas with this machine in the early days.
This is how it works:
You put it firmly into the ground, push it a bit forward and the spring will cause the lower part to open to let out one pea at the time. It very much is like walking with a walking stick.
We rescued this tool from the flames, because after Fons died at 75, his son pretty much burned all his stuff. It's hanging on the wall in our little farmhouse now in memory of...because Fons was my best friend, despite the difference in our age.

Post processing in PSP: cropped it, used gammacorrection a bit and sharpened it a little bit.

I've learned that the longer the title, the lower the score could be. People get impatient reading a long title, and all that info is not needed during judging. Also you cut off the handle at the top, would like to see it all. Interesting farming object tho.

Nice composition and subject. Speaking of which, where did you dig up something like this?
The subject is more original than other subjects that were published, which is why I personally gave those photographs of old camera equipment, typewriters and computers a low score. I hope you agree with my sentiment.
