I went out to practice photographing ducks at the local pond when a heron came in for a swim. I knew I was badly positioned to get this shot with the bird between me and the sun but decided to give it a go anyway. He dived under & I got ready for him to surface & when he did, it was no where near where I had thought he would. With the camera on a 4 shot burst, I captured this, the last of the burst. With better preparation & planning (and luck) this could have been a great action bird shot. Almost but not quite this time. Next time...
