This was taken at the Mission San Jose in San Antonio. It was founded in 1720, and is still an active church. They have church services there every Sunday. It's a popular site for brides to get their bridal portraits taken. I think it's a beautiful place where history just awes you when you are there.

Spectacular image, complete with depth, framing of the dome and nested arches, and a sense on convergence. Wonderful.

What a wonderful shot! Very well done with the bright lighting. A lot of texture and detail - really can almost feel the stone and the heat of the sun. The perspective is excellent! Composition couldn't be better. Very well done!

I think this is my favorite from your wonderful portfolio. I like the sense of depth while the dome above helps set perspective and gives your eyes a place to "rest". Well done!!!

This is a lovely shot. The stonework is great and the roof in the background nails it. Certainly deserved the top 20, a bit more contrast may have got you there. Good work either way.

Nicley seen.
Not sure if the lack of contrast here was intentional to simulate an old look, but will take it as such and gave high marks.

At first I was going to make a comment about this needing some sharpening, but the longer I look at this, the more I like it as it is.There's plenty to draw the eye in here.

I really like this, but something is off for me--perhaps the contrast.

Great detail. I wish there was more of it in the ground. Cool photo.

Lovely image. I'd like to stand where you stood and see this myself. If I were editing this, I might have dropped the overall brightness a little and possibly boosted the contrast a little. That would correct what I perseive as slight over exposure. Add a little sharpening and you have a ribbon contender.

I really like this image, the interplay of light & shadows is attractive and the lines draw the eye towards the dome. Well done, 10.

I am led to the doorway but then distracted by the dome. Makes for less overall impact for me.

I don't really see any leading lines here

The path to their salvation indeed, Great use of greys and black & white to add character to a very historic church. I've tried for the same picture but never this close to perfect. Great work!

Wow! Absolutely beautiful. The tones used convey the emptiness. Solitude. POV, DOF, focus - everything well done. 10 - good luck in the challenge!

A little more contrast and sharpening would have made this photo better imo...nicely composed...

This is magnificent. Great depth in both contrast and texture. The eye is drawn through the arched walkway. Excellent. 10
