 I switched photos at the last minute and forgot to switch the title. This was supposed to be titled "Westward to Sunset". City Hall was behind me when I took the shot.





I had to play with levels, and contrast a lot to get this where I wanted it. I still think parts of it could be lighter. It also took a couple layers and lightening and darkening the layers until I got the right feel. Some small cloning was done to a few tiny streetlights because after I adjusted the contrast of the image, I didn't like the way the streetlights looked.

This is my first challenge submission with my new camera (Rebel xt), and I'm anxious to see how it does. My update button finger will be sore in a week.

(I don't have any tool to see my exif data and I forget what I shot the picture at (aperature, iso, shutter) because I changed the settings so much between shots on the night I took this. So the below shot stats might be off.)

Predictions on the slamming and comments- 1. too dark 2. too grainy. 3. Unsure of compositional choice. 4. What is your subject? 5. Not centered enough 6. Centered too much.

Blended exposure? Nicely done, if so. The way that the lines on the road stand out really draws the eye in.
