I like the subject and the perspective on this image, unfortunately the focus is too soft for my taste and it distracts from the image. - 5

I appreciate your effort, but, it's hard to get absorbed in your "planet" when the copper makes it look like a garden decoration. That said, the orb itself against the blue background is very nice.

very interesting. I wonder if a black background could have worked better, to make it look more like outer space. 7

Meets the challenge and is ga generally well executed capture. Solid blue background works well. Framing and composition are very good. Exposure and lighting mostly good. Shallow depth of field works well.

This image is pleasing to the human eye. It has a overexposed area o the close metal spiral near the upper left center of the frame, but it is not bad.

This is a very, very clean and simple image. It should get a very high score. Great job!

nice, though i would prefer the ball to be in focus as a whole and the colors more in tune (esp. traces of green in overall blue picture)

The contrasting colors really make this whole image pop! The different textures are nice. I am glad you chose the background you did, i think anything else would have been too distracting. Overall a great image and i am bumping from my original vote!

This is a photo I really wanted to like a lot. The composition, and subjects look fascinating. However the depth of field/focus just makes me not want to look at it. I think a larger DOF would help it tremendously. Also, be careful with the unsharp mask as it is causing a little haloing on your photo. If it happens, you can always smudge it back carefully.
