While on a recent trip to Boston, I saw this opening at a building close to Quincy Market. With a little bit of cropping and adjustment of levels, it makes for an interesting image.

Update:
This is my first challenge entry and thanks to all, I've learned quite a bit.

well to be honest, it's not a bad picture - 4.6 is a pretty decent score. Maybe if you have used a larger size for it, it would have reached a 5.

Apparently not only did his photos increase in size but so did his color palette. It went from bold red to nuclear to imaginery!

Coming from the 1-4-0 thread.
You've certainly improved a lot during your next 43 submissions! You obviously had the 'eye' for a good subject/composition maybe just lacked the skill to pull it off. A shot to remind you of your journey ;)

Wow this looks like something I would shoot....but I would rotate it and call it the red eye or blood shot after a night on the town in Boston. 8~}

A nice shot overall, it is a little too small, and a little dark for my taste

A good idea that gets within the concept of a fantasy world.

Compositionally it might be a little better if you included the full oval that is cut off at the bottom center of the frame. This is a very hard image to get the exposure correct because it is several stops brighter in the center than the rest of the frame. That will be distracting for some viewers.

The darker reddish inside may look artificially colored and cause it to get a lower score. You might try making the orangish color brighter or more shimmering.

Although the picture is small (you should resize the longest side to 640, the composition is very interesting. 5
