A campfire is a good choice for a pleasant darkness concept. You are to be commended for thinking of it and presenting it in an appealing way. It might be even more effective if a second person were in the frame and they were engaged in campfire conversation.

The light is very bright! It might "speak" more (IMO) if they were facing away from the light. Does that make sense?
