I didn't have time to vote on this challenge, but really liked this shot. Way to be different!

Very amusing image though after looking at 280 shots of birds, I'm kind of anti chicken eating right now. You have some stuck in your teeth. ;) Selective desat works, comp works, crop works, focus spot on as is POV. Gotta give you at least a 7 even if the bird is, thankfully, dead. Good luck in the challenge!

You could have spent a little time in front of the mirror with a razor....nice photo, 9 for taking a different road

In my opinion, this doesn't meet the spirit of the challenge.

I didn't think it met the challenge

Ok assuming this is chicken, or the remnants of a pidgeon pie

A different perspective and you probably are going to get voted down for it but valid nonetheless, dare to be different! I like that :)

Creative take on the challenge but it just doesn't look very appetizing.

Great idea! Certainly out of the box - the K.F.C box anyway :-)

I get the humor, but doesn't score very well with me.

You get high marks from me for the most humorous entry. I applaud your risk taking picture since most at DPC will probably vote it down. Good selective desat, DOF, title and focus. Great job.

LOL, I wasn't going to vote on this challenge, because al those birds look the same to me, but you've changed my mind and I voted as high as 9 for your originallity. Keep up the good work of the 'outside the box' creativity, though I think many will vote you low. I like a good joke when I see one. Thanks for the courage to put this up here. Now I have to find 20% others I like and I don't like all that zoo stuff.

LOL very funny! Love the use of selective desaturation here, really makes the chicken pop.

I didn't have the guts to do this myself, but was hoping someone would! Great picture, made me laugh & great choice of desat!

Funny but not quite in the spirit!
06/13/2005 01:07:46 AM
Wow, only one food pic, and I gave up on the rotisserie idea because I thought there would be too many :-(
There is one problem here: the "bird" is supposed to be the main subject, but I can't get past the funky expression, the food is quite lost in front of THAT face!
The partial desat works well here.

congrats on being the only one in the whole challenge who took up this ever so obvious idea
9 for being lucky ;)
