 I really like this old building (I used it for another challenge, but it looks so different during hours of darkness). I'm hoping it'll have a "Spooky/Darkness" effect to the viewer. Cropped, Increased brightness, saturation, and contrast, and used Picture Cooler to get rid of some noise. I originally used the PS cloning tool to get rid of the wire and the sign on the side of the building, then I double checked the Basic Editing Rules and found you can't do that. Glad that I looked! Not like this will make the top 10 and I'll get DQ'ed. :)

The green lighting on this one gives it a great x-files feeling.

The lighting angle on the building is the strength of this image. For low lighting conditions the overall clarity and quality of this image is very good.

Don't know if the greenish lighting color is the result of actual conditions or the effect of post processing but it does not matter. It is effective adds a lot of viewer interest to the image. Even the porch in complete shadow, which normally would be an error, seems to work with this image to give it a surrealist quality that is appealing.

Well, it's a good photograph, and it is dark, but to me it's not really ABOUT darkness. The meaning of darkness, is what I'm thinking of. Is this really what darkness means to you? Whatever, it is a very appealing image. 7
