Very long exposure in a dark room, where the tiniest bit of light was filtering thru a big green exercise ball. I hopped in front of the camera at the last moment and lit a match.

At first glance I wasn't too sure what I was looking at but still an interesting visual effect

Interesting concept/approach. Composition lacks.

Very artistic and an interesting use of a balance ball. The flying sparks are cool.

This image has nice colors. Blue particularly is a good color to use in DPC submissions. General technical quality is good.

Abstract images like this tend to be obscure to voters and this image will suffer in the scoring department because of it.

at first i thought you were at a concert or something but I look & is that a box of kleenex? and a plate?
I think it would have been better if that was cropped out but I still really like this one

For this abstract to work would require removing the odd coloured thing on the left, and ensuring the whole of the left hand side was darkened. Also, the double exposure of the face makes this a little odd. Having a halo of the match as it moves around in front of the subject would also tighten this up better. The objects silhouetted by the blue ball are slightly too blurred, as well. 5
