 This young dove had been hanging around for several days. It was just old enough to make short flights. I am so afraid one of the neighborhood cats will have him for dinner, but so far so good. Taken at 200MM with a sigma 70-200 f:2.8 lens in RAW mode. I made a daylight white balance adjustment, increased the sharpness and a small amount of contrast. This result is about one third of the original frame, with a slight Gamma adjustment as JPEG and finished up with USM after resizing to DPC guidelines.

I love the similarity of coloring between background and the bird. Very nice tone. Great detail. I hope you do well.

Very nice capture. I love that the color of the bird and the background are monotone but that the bird does not blend into the background. Very sharp - great lighting. 10

very sharp, but i think the dof is to little, the feathers close by should be in focus IMHO
