I find this a very compelling image. I'm not normally a huge fan of 'flower' shots, although I do appreciate a good one (and I must confess, I try some occasionally, but don't tell anyone :-) ) and this is a good one IMO. To me it seems unique and creative with the treatment you've done to it. The grain makes it. Colors are awesome. The angle/perspective is dramatic. Compositionally, I like how it is simple, basic, yet very bold. Another big strong point I think is, even with the grain, there is still a lot of detail there. Overall, a great shot, I really like it. thanks :-)
I like this shot. The colors jump out at you, but not in an annoying way. The noise adds depth to it. The composition is nice. The border is a little overwhelming, though; I think a thinner border might not be so 'in your face', but it's not something that is hugely 'wrong' - it's just a personal preference.
Artur - I'm still kinda learning where and when I like grain. I think I've discovered another 'where'! May have to try this myself. I like it. The flower stem leads the eye into the image and helps to balance the centered composition.
Did you add noise to this intentionally in PS, was it an ISO choice, or an in-camera setting?
Personally I don't care for flower shots unless they are drastically artistic, like this one. The grain works and the color looks great! It may not survive challenge comments, but I'd at least hang it in my bathroom. ;-)
