I happened to be out in God's country over Memorial Day (US) weekend. This guy (girl?) happened to be outside the restaurant I was patronizing - just wadering about.

Several people happened to be outside on the front porch of the establishment, and everyone was wanting to pet him. Apparently, no one was worried about the black cat myth - except my father. He threaten to throw him if he tried to cross his path.

(Don't worry folks, I wouldn't actually let him do that to the puddy tat !! )

:D

Technical stuff - Removed Color, Color Corrected, and modified the contrats/brightness a little.

"Here Kitty Kitty!"

This guy is a cutie pie and you get bumped just for that.

Cute cat. If it were not for the title, I would have much difficulty feeling that I had to make a decision, or that the cat was making a decision. The photo is very nice, but doesn't seem to express the action of decision making by any party (ie viewer, subject).

good choice of b&w. I would like to see more detail of the fur - it is there but is not easy to see on my monitor. Answering the challenge is more problematical - not for me

Awwww. . . .how can you resist that decision! Look at those sweet loving eyes. He is definitely a keeper!!!!!!

Superstition. A hard thing to sell decision with as some would not see the link from just the image. Without the title, I saw only a cat, in fact I had not even told myself a black cat (wonder if it crossed my path).... An interesting concept idea that unfortunately missed this viewer. Detail in the whole is good, nice sharp lines and the flooring is great for subtle leading, however the fact that the back half of the cat is cropped out of the picture, seriously detracts from the composition. Considering placement of other entries that stood on their own with technicals and the ability to communicate the challenge to me, I can only offer a 3 on this image.
