Yup, it's me. Well, it was either me or my dad, and well...
Either way, inspite of my parents protests, I took a hammer to these old sunglasses. I'm not quite sure where this bizaar idea came from, but I'm pretty sure there won't be too many others like this. I hope it will come off as 'natural' enough :-p

cropped, desaturated, 'burned' the nose area, sharpened, contrast, cloned (scratch removed, really) out distracting stuff on my face, saved for web.

I love the clarity and the skin tones you've achieved. Too bad there isn't more of a catch light in the eye, but I guess that would be difficult behind what's left of the glasses. Using a flash to create a catch light would probably interfere with the already perfect lighting on the face.

I didn't vote on this challenge, but your photo certainly deserved a higher score. Excellent idea for "naturally framed".

A tad too contrived for me. Nice close up of the face though.

Like the concept, but the colours don't appeal, a little too insipid for me

excellent clarity and the lack of color without going B&W is very impressive. Altho I am not fond of the subject or frame in this picture it does meet the challenge, was well thought out, is well composed, is a very crisp and a very clear image. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <7>

Very nice focus and clarity here. I really like how we can see all the tiny eye lashes. lighting also appears to be good for this shot. SKind tones are nice. I maybe wish there were a bit more definition in her eye...looks almost entirely black. Seems odd that way. The idea is neat and I think you pulled it off well. Nice angle and framin/cropping as well. Oh, one tiny distractino is the skin colored area in the lower left hand corner. takes away from the smoothe line of the face. Overall neat image though. ~Heather~
