Croped to compose.
Selective color on reds to make the light house pop out.
Selective color on the sky to make a more blue tone.
Burned the sky to give it texture.

I used a new formula I have been working its still in testing phase but I will post it at the end of the image.
This is taken at Holland state park of the famous "Big Red" Light house in Michigan. I was fortunate to have clear skys. My goal on the shot was to create high contrasting colors to show "Big Red".

Here is my new formula in taking photographs. I am still working on refining it better but I think it can really help my photography by making me think "outside the box" but still conform to technique.
Composition

1.Select what you want to shoot.
a.What is the mood you’re trying to convey?
b.What colors are you trying to convey?
c.How does the shot make you feel?
d.What story is the picture going to tell?
2.Meter the light.
a.How is the light effecting the shot?
b.How do you want the light to affect the shot?
3.Select the Aperture.
a.Depth of Field for the shot?
4.Meter the light.
a.What speed should you shoot at?
5.Select the ISO
a.Is noise a necessity.
b.Do you need a faster shutter speed.
6.Select the Corresponding AF point.
a.How will the compositon effect the story of the shot?
b.Will the shot break the rule of thirds composition?
7.Compose the with the Corresponding AF point
a.Try a couple of other AF points
b.Portrait or landscape.
8.Select the Exposure Compensation.
a.Does the amount of light change the feel and mood of the shot?
b.Does the amount of light change the hue/saturation of the colors?
9.Shoot the Shot.
