I'm normally not a fan of selective desaturation, but here it works brilliantly. Had I noticed this one during voting I would have given it a 9. |

Nice capture but I have a hard time calling a billboard "beautiful" 5 for an interresting image. |

I really like this. Good application of selective desaturation, it works especially well in this shot. You've combined a lot of elements here and I think it's paid off - a 9 from me and best of luck with this challenge!

I'll be surprised if this isn't DQ'ed, but nice concept.
Glad to see you are still here. I do like this one. Beauty in the midst of the grayness of the buildings. |

Beauty is a subjective thing, I know. In my scoring and comments I'm trying to score based on NOT whether or not I would think a particular subject beautiful, but on whether the photographer has succeeded in creating a beautiful photo. I look for the elements of color, lines, focus and dof interest, lighting, and a certain element of grace and lovlieness. I'm looking for a unique and creative appeal for the highest scorers. The description says to create a photo that makes the viewer think "that's beautiful", so it will undoubtedly be very subjective. (This is what I'm putting at the start of all of my comments, and I hope it is helpful.)
That being said, this is one of my favorites so far. I'm not a fan of selective desat, but I like it here a lot. The whole concept of media and portrayal of beauty is captured in a very creative and unique way. Perfect placement of her "peeking" between the buildings. Good job! |

unique composition, giving the viewers a peek at the peeking model in the ad. The desat is nice, although I feel it doesn't need to be that strong for the statement to be made. 10. |

...peek-a-boo...great image...beautiful B & W and color...hard vs. soft...masculine vs. feminine...one of my favorite pictures in the challenge. |
