Critique Club:

Hi E.J. Again I have the honor of critiquing your photo. This is one of those shots I would have thought would do a lot better. I really like this pic a lot, but you can never foretell how the rest of the DPC voters will vote right?

The lighting is perfect here, the detail is amazing, those water drops look just so crisp. The decision to do this in black and white was okay, I think it has come out well, although a lot of comments below state they would rather have seen this in color.

The cropping is something I would have done differently, the main subject seems just a little too centered for me.

Apart from that I think you did a good job.

10. I swear you lined up those drops! In any case, wonderful tones and contrasts here. It really does bespeak of the moment after a storm.

Very nice. I love the pattern of the water droplets on the leaves. The Black and White is an excellent idea.

Looks artifical. Drops never collect like that.

I like the repeatitive drops on the leaves. Your focus is well done, too.

very nice

The water drops that you've proritised with the composition are the ones that are out of focus - which detracts for me a lot. Also, the b&w ... why? Don't see a reason, and tonally all the greys seem the same.

The water beads seem so crystalline...
