Deceptively simple image that appeals to me immensely. I wish it were crisper. It's very nicely framed and, personally, I think it's quite strong. But I've always liked "busy" pictures with no obvious subject, and they rarely seem to do well in DPC, so I wish you the best of luck with this one. Strong score from me.
I find the light a bit harsh here - and this coast can look stunning in the first sun of the day. Good colouring, and well presented detail for an image with our size restrictions, and the sheer interetst of Amalfi generally give the shot some impact, but my immediate and abiding thought is that with the right light it could have had a real touch of magic.
I know the exact road you were on when you took this picture.... I was there about 18 years ago - It is very pleasant to see a picture of this area - one of my favorite places to visit.... I scored this pic a 10!
This is one of those scenes that make it very hard for us poor folks who live in very ordinary places to compete in a challenge like this :) Beautif l aqua water, colorful buildings carved into the side of a cliff. Very exotic scenery -- definitely beautiful.
This place seems oddly familiar... I get the impression I've been there already... ;o) Great shot, love the colours, and there's so much interest - I just can't help looking at all the houses, wondering what it'd be like to live in them.
