Great shot! Details in the feathers are outstanding!

I love this image, but it is cropped too tightly. This eagle needs room to soar! 6

This is an excellent shot and was probably the result of a lot of planning and execution. The eagle is perfect in the way his wings are fully extended with the individual feathers visible. I hope theres a good story behind this one, You really did a great job.

Nice capture with great detail. ( I think it would be improved with a landscape crop vs. portrait or just a little more room on the side would help.)

Whilst there is no doubting the beauty of your subject, I find the photograph itself to be lacking that extra element that would really make me think 'beautiful!'. I'm not wholly sure what that might be - though certainly something more than the quite straightforward portrait presented here - perhaps more sense of the dynamic, such as a bit of motion blur in the background: this shot presents a very still feeling, presumably because a high shutter speed has wiped all sense of movement. Obviously it's technically OK - in focus, good detail, etc, although I would say it is overall a touch too bright for impact - pulling the exposure, or brightness back a touch would add some depth and life to the tree and sky colours, and make the detailing around the head and tail more easily noticeable - but the simply technically OK isn't enough to spark that moment of amazement when the world seems to stop for a fraction of a second. 6

Beauty is a subjective thing, I know. In my scoring and comments I'm trying to score based on NOT whether or not I would think a particular subject beautiful, but on whether the photographer has succeeded in creating a beautiful photo. I look for the elements of color, lines, focus and dof interest, lighting, and a certain element of grace and lovlieness. I'm looking for a unique and creative appeal for the highest scorers. The description says to create a photo that makes the viewer think "that's beautiful", so it will undoubtedly be very subjective. (This is what I'm putting at the start of all of my comments, and I hope it is helpful.)

That being said, this is a wonderful capture of the eagle in flight. Nice dof, very nice light and colors. Certainly a majestic and beautiful subject. I keep wondering what was around it, as the vertical crop seems a bit severe, but there may have been a reason for that. One of my favorites so far.

Great capture! I like how you've maintained detail in both the highlights and shadows of the feathers.
