i like this photo. but there is too much darkness. i dont have a problem with it but you need to crop the photo. full the frame of your photo with the apple and not the darkness 9 crop it u get a 10 this is a top 10 photo this is top 10 photo top 20 photo and possible a ribbon photo

Nice and subtle. Perhaps the color in the apple is a little too oversaturated. It just doesn't look quite natural to me.

I like the extremes of color in this picture. The lighting is good, the starkness appeals to me also; especially the way the apple just disappears into the darkness of the background...8

Your light is excellent here. Good mood, feeling. The shot is just not sharp enough to draw a high score. I also would of liked this a bit more off center for more impact. Good composition and good/great light.

Nice image, but I'm not sure it stirs as much interest as many of the other images in this challenge. I am a fan of the black background, but this may be too much. Maybe had we been able to see half of the apple without the lower shadow on the left side of the apple, it would have been a more interesting image. This is slightly more interesting than the other image submitted which is very similiar, probably due to the water droplets which catch the light and provide more points of light. <5>
