 This is a standard studio shot. I've got a lot of pratice to do though .... I'm glad of the result but I don't really like the shadows.

I used 3 floods, one on each side and one above. I tried with just 2 (one one each side) but still got shadows ...

Oh well ....

By the way .... the leaf is fake (it's a real leaf but it's been added)

I didn't vote on this challenge (shame on me!), but this is one of the best I've seen. Excellent use of negative space, great color and contrast, nice lighting and composition. I actually like the shadows, they're not to strong. Very nice work here! :)

It is simple - but I like the one a lot. I like the slight gradient background - the lighting looks great to me. Nice work!

Simplicity often beats complexity hands down and I think that shows here. Nothing fancy in terms of content, no clever gimmicks in terms of what's been done to the apples, just a presentation of the fruit in it's best light. Lighting and composition excellent, as is background. 9

Lighting perfect, subject is crisp a clean, color is nice. The leaf on the apple seems a little unnatural to me (not close enough to the stem), but that could just be the camera angle. I still score it a 10

other than the leaf looking like it is behind the apple and not part of the stem this is a great image. Nice colors, lighting and setup. you've framed it perfectly. Good luck
