Unfortunately, the only night I had available for this shoot turned out to be a damned hellishly windy night.

I wasn't pleased with this shot, or most of the shots I got from this shoot.. but got convinced to enter it last minute in place of another shot I had.. which I think would have done much, much better.

Alas. Not too concerned though. It placed higher than I expected, and my average didn't suffer too much. lol. My beauty shot is on course to finish about the same as this one too. It seems that, even though I have a great camera, and can produce stunning photography on my own... when I'm forced to stick within confines of a challenge, I just can't quite pull out of the "I'm going to be different on purpose MUWAHAHAH you bastards!" mentality that I seem to have.

Area 51? Looks like a landing for a UFO. This is well balanced and just the right sharpness.

I'd score higher if the lights were a bit sharper. I don't know if it was the quality of the atmosphere at the time, or if the camera wasn't rock steady, or a lack of focus. The sky, however, is gorgeous! Good luck in the challenge.

This image is too top heavy, if all the sky was removed it would have so much more impact.
