 I knew I would eventually get to use a dead Bonzai plant I was holding on to for one of the challenges. Attached a small leaf to the branch. Added a miniature chair. Used a Light box as the backround and shone a small penlight at the light box lined up with the back of the leaf to create the illuminated effect. Cropped, increased contrast, adjusted saturation and hue. Cloned out some dust spots and cleaned up the image and used Neat Image.

I was disqualified because my camera had somehow reset itself to June 2006 and I was not aware of the change when I took the picture.

give your audience some credit - be confident with your composition - my way of saying the green ruins this for me. If I think about it, I would see it, if not, then that's the nature of art. This "clubbing me over the head" doesn't even give me a chance to think - knowhatImean?

i like this shot and it really was fine with the title and the shot without highlighting the leaf. that was alittle overkill.

I love this shot, but find the colour aroud the leaf a bit gimmicky.
