Love the texture of this photo and the changes of boundaries, from grid, grime, dirt, to smooth, calm, peaceful on wards to the clouds, very dramatic, overbearing and pending. Good placement of the person in the shot and love the fact that this is black and white, just the perfect touch! Great work.

Pity this photo is devided in two parts due to placing the horizon right there in the middle. It's a silhouette alright, but the upper part with the clouds is too strong, it distracts the eye from what the challenge is about. Both parts are beautiful, but I should've cropped it just above the horizon.

Nice sky; I would've cropped the foreground a bit more; would've been nice if they'd been walking,

I love the DOF in this photo. The clouds seem to go on forever.

The silhouette of the dog is lost in the background. I do like the lighting however.

I like the use of B/W in this one but I think the subject is lost to the awesome sky. Nice work and good luck. 8

What a beautiful picture! Such a dramatic sky. I love the black and white. and the contrast of the rough sand next to the smoothe water.

Love this effect, did you use a filter, or post-edit?

A wonderful concept and great composition. Tones are terrific. You highlighted what nature provided at that moment which is the mark of a great photographer. Cloud detail is nothing less than stunning. The only part that is too for me is the fine detail on the beach is oversharpened, but that might just be me. In that case I would have split the amount of USM applied to the image and used a slightly lower USM amount on the beach itself than to the ocean and clouds above.
