When I saw the challenge announcement, this idea screamed in my head. Perfect, I thought. My band practices in this place, Charlie's, I've often wanted to shoot the pool table, and lo and behold, here's a challenge perfect for it, so I did. I think the colors of the balls are great, and hey, it's definitely a triangle :-) I thought the perspective is kind of cool, and I like the fading away to black.
In ps -- hue/sat, brightness/contrast, levels, curves, resize.
Thanks for checking out my pic :-)

I think a shot like this where you have the oportunity to get it perfect, should have been more clear. Also the green is a bit blotchy.

Might have been an idea to diffuse your light source as the reflection, in my opinion, negitivly effects your image. If it was softened up it could work well. There is also a lot of jpeg artifacts on the table.. if you wanted to get rid of this, try using neat image (www.neatimage.com), works wonders for this problem.

Best of the pool table bunch so far... thanks to good lighting effect!

How can you not show the "8" on the 8 ball? I believe the flash used in this picture was mounted on the camera. The result is the light reflections are very distracting. The resolution is also lacking a bit.

Billiards is my favorite game!!! You know what would have made this really rock? If you put the white ball approaching about to break. As it is its just a good interpretation of the challenge.

I like the shot, it's a nice composition and has nice lighting and everything, but the quality of this image is really poor. There is a lot of jagginess (for instance look at the 3 or 5 ball's edge between it and the green) and significant JPEG artifacts visible.
