Fourth billiard-ball shot I've seen, and my second favourite. My favourite was the one which wasn't symmetrically placed, though I appreciate your low angle. |

focus seems to hit right before the balls. |

Ok. First of all your shit is not in focus you need to get the basics right first im not sure if you tried something fance with depth of field or what but just get it right in future. The composition is quite cool but mind you dont leave to much negative space unless you are trying to show something with it. Lastly your colour balance is way out, it looks like you have three black balls across the front there this is probably due to poor light. An idea would be to take the shot in lighter conditions and darken it in photoshop this would help focus and colour. This gets an "NB" for not bad but surley you can tell if its in focus or not try taking a few hundred shots and selecting from them then you can grab a focused and colourful one for next week. |

this is a great idea, and I love the wide angle. Here's why it's not working for me. The green felt is yellow - there's a neat trick with hue/saturation that would pull that right out, or selective color. I wish the depth of field was wider, but I would forgive that if the top wasn't so crowded. I feel like if you lifted and tilted the camera you DOF would work itself out, and you could frame it better. The focus over all looks soft to me too.
Maybe crop it into a square, but that's a nit pick.
There you have it, my longest comment ever. For some reason I thought you might like to know - so you're the lucky one. :) 5 |

Those are popular in this challenge...
It fits the challenge nicely but I have 2 improvement suggestions:
1. your white balance is not set properly. There's a yellowish tone to the photo.
2. I like the shallow DOF but I think the bal in the best focus should have been the first one closer to me, not the two after it.
Good luck on the challenge.
