Congratulations on what I thought was a great photo. The deep green shows up beautifully on my monitor, and yet others have claimed my monitor must not be properly calibrated because I felt their pictures were too dark. hmmm...

I apologize for confusing snooker and billiards, but in reality I was simply giving you kudos for having the best of a dozen or so photos that used a similar theme... most having used billiards balls lined up for the break.

Well done. Bettered my best by a single percentile point

Thank you for the comments. Each one has helped me and identified where I can improve.

Interesting that a lot of people referred to pool or billiard balls. In fact they are snooker balls ! I realise I overworked the photoshop abd will beware of that in future. Also it seems some monitors are better than others because the green baize in the background is referred to as black - my problem or the viewers ?
This was taken as a try out before I used the better camera so I really just snapped it to look at the lighting and composition but then due to lack of time, I decided to throw this one in! Very pleased with this result, my best so far!

Fantastic idea. I would like it even better if it were a bit sharper, but, I stil like it very much. Great color and highlights. 7

Good subject and color. However, it's very grainy and the slight tilt to the right bothers me.

This is the best shot I have seen so far for snooker/pool balls, it looks rather grainy though - maybe my monirtor settings.

over-sharpened, too much levels work has almost posterized the image.

There seems to be a bit of grain on the balls. Looks a bit over worked also

Love this! Gave it a 9 just because I felt it could have been a little sharper. You have to know what snooker is to get it, though, so I hope you don't lose any points due to others not having been "around the block." ;-)

Seems a little bit fuzzy, love the vivid red and the windows reflecting off the balls.

Ooooh. That looks cool! I love it. The black and red. . . what a great idea!!!

My favorite of the pool table shots, and one of my favorites overall. Good luck!

Pity about the graininess of the photo

The repeating reflection gives this a very nice graphical pattern. Complimentary colors are great. Would have been great if the horizontal is level and the focus spot on.

I like the way you have got the lighting it makes the red very glossy!

good idea, on my screen it looks a little overly contrasty, with blown reds on the tops of the balls. Watch your saturation and gamut warning.

Like this and the noise works well with this, giving it a sense of mood. 10
